Property description
Pulling onto the driveway at this home, on one of the most sought after roads in Cowes, almost makes you feel like you have been transported back in time. Formerly a lodge to Northwood Park, Circa 1837, it has everything you would expect from a Grade II listed building. From the beautiful ornamental twisted terra-cotta chimneys, to the decorative leaded glazing, this cottage constructed from ashlar, oozes charm and character. Stepping inside the home the period features continue. The large lounge complete with inglenook fireplace is the perfect place to entertain guests on a cosy winter evening. The guests won't want to leave, and there is no reason for them to. If all of the beautifully quirky bedrooms are in use, then the self contained annex at the bottom of the garden is the perfect retreat for friends and family to stay in. When the sun comes out, it's time to take the party outside and fire-up the barbecue, spending the day in the pretty back garden. If it gets too hot, there is plenty of room in the swimming pool for your guests to cool off. If you decide to venture outside the home there is plenty to keep you occupied in the surrounding area. Cowes is widely regarded as the home of sailing and the frequent regattas and races keeps the town thriving throughout the year. In summary; this stunning character home offers so much that it is not expected to be around for long, so call us today to book in your viewing!

We brought this home after immediately falling in love with its charm and original features. Being a listed building, we have invested in keeping the home in great condition including replacing the roof. We have enjoyed years of great memories here with our friends and family. Unfortunately due to work commitments we have found ourselves using the home less that we would like, and reluctantly the time has come to let someone else enjoy owning their very own piece of Cowes history.
During the day, the beach of Gurnard is only a stroll away and the town has plenty of trendy bars and restaurants to keep you entertained in the evening. The transport links are also fantastic, with the passenger ferry to Southampton only a two minute drive away.
