THE PROPERTY Burncliffe is an attractive stone built detached house situated on the edge of this picturesque village on an elevated site and enjoying superb views in a southerly direction across the Tyne valley and the hills beyond. The property itself comprises; entrance porch, hallway, living room with an impressive stone fireplace, dining kitchen the main feature being the oil fired AGA in wedge-wood blue, an inner hallway leads to a shower room and a second sitting room. Upstairs the landing provides access to three bedrooms and a bathroom. Externally there are two small outhouses and gardens. Being sold with this property is a superb example of a detached Cruck Barn dating from the early 18th Century which is Grade II* Listed and has recently been completely restored. This Barn is currently used as a workshop/store and is ideal for a variety of different uses associated with the house such as a hobby/craft space, playroom, games area, workshop, store, gym or office. VENDORS COMMENTS The view from Burncliffe is amazing - wide, open views across the Tyne Valley and great walks and cycle routes from the house . The big kitchen with the custom coloured aga was also a big attraction, it's so cosy all year round and brilliant to cook on. The barn is truly unique and we were proud to own and restore it. The village is a great community with a hotel/pub, shop and tearoom, school, train station and brand new village hall.
