Property description

THE SITUATION Chollerton is a small hamlet centred around St Giles' church lying to the east of the River North Tyne. It is well placed for access to the A68 & A69 and there are traditional amenities within the neighbouring villages of Chollerford, Humshaugh and Barrasford. Situated close to Northumberland National Park, there are many attractions close at hand including Hadrian's Wall, Kielder Water, Aydon Castle and historic Corbridge. Beyond can be found the delights of the North Pennines AONB, the Scottish Borders and the Northumbrian Coast. Hexham is well connected to both the East & West Coast mainline railways via Newcastle & Carlisle. Newcastle International Airport provides further communications with the rest of the country and beyond.

THE PROPERTIES Old Church Cottages, as the name suggests, is a converted church and original outbuildings which now comprises a three bedroomed owners' cottage and three letting units, all set within stone walled garden. The arrangement of the property is such that two could be combined to provide larger owners accommodation, if desired, as there is an interconnecting door (currently blocked off) between them. They are surrounded by open countryside with fine views and there are ample parking facilities. All cottages have oil fired central heating. The cottages were rated 4 star self catering by Visit England and enjoy great individuality. There are mature, well stocked gardens creating both privacy and amenity. The Business currently maintains a Green Tourism Business Scheme Gold Award. More information can be found at www.chollerton-oldchurch.co.uk
