Property description

If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet spot where you can be surrounded by countryside, yet not be too far away from schools, shopping facilities and transport then this property could be the right spot for you.

The bungalow is approached via two oak front gates with a red brick driveway. There are wrought iron gates on both sides and night time sensors which will help you keep safe and sound in your own home. The driveway leads to a garage complete with inspection pit, power, light and running water so could even be used as a utility area if you prefer to park your car on the driveway.

Inside there is a porch to help keep out the chill on a cold winter's night and the light and bright lounge overlooking the beautiful rear garden. The kitchen/diner has a distinct country feel and is ideal for a social dinner with friends and family or just catching up on the day's events over a cup of tea or coffee whilst enjoying the scenery.

All the bedrooms are doubles with the two on the ground floor sharing a good size shower room. Bedroom 1 on the first floor has its own en-suite bathroom and offers wonderful views of the river Thames, be it on a summer's day with the blue sky or of an evening with the lights from the passing ships twinkling magically.

What the Owner says:

My family built this bungalow in 1955 and our pride and joy was the garden. The plot is surrounded by hedges of different types and the sizeable beautiful double waterfall pond feature with a pumping system allows us to create our own stream. On a summer's day with the sun beating down it is a serene and peaceful place where you can relax and enjoy the summer sunshine. It is also a haven for wildlife and we never tire of their visits, particularly the birds.
The garden contains a large number of various rag stones, flints and granite blocks and some are even incorporate in the front wall which is meant to depict the Thames at London Bridge from where the stones originated.
