Property description
Built in the late 1960s, this bungalow was once the local doctor's surgery and was later extended and converted into a delightful home. The lounge and dining areas are open plan, giving you a feeling of light and space, with the lounge area boasting an attractive feature fireplace and exposed timbers to give a cosy atmosphere. The previous bathroom has been refurbished and converted into a fantastic wet room with bath, shower and underfloor heating - a most welcome feature, especially in the colder months. Another recent improvement is the updated central heating system including a replacement boiler.
Outside, there is a detached building divided into three distinct parts - a garage with a large workshop to the side, above which is a really useful loft room which could easily be used as a home office, gym or party room! The gardens are a manageable size with off road parking on the front driveway, whilst the rear garden enjoys a good degree of seclusion when you want to sit out in the summer months.
Nestled in the heart of the village, the location could hardly be more convenient. It's just a short walk to the local shops - including a Post Office and fantastic family butcher - doctors' surgery and a highly regarded primary school. A country pub overlooks the renovated canal which provides the perfect setting for a stroll down the picturesque towpath.

My mother had lived in Loxwood for many years and when the time came for her to downsize, she wanted to remain in the area as she had been so happy here and this bungalow was her ideal new home. Everything she needed was within easy reach, especially with the doctors' surgery just down the road. The pretty garden had enough room for her to have a lovely summerhouse erected and yet it was not so large that it became difficult to look after.
With the many improvements she made to the bungalow, it became a really lovely home in her later years and I'm sure it will be appreciated just as much by the new owners.
