I bought this property as I liked the idea of a project, my plan was to do the place up and my daughter would move in to it as she had just moved here from Australia so needed somewhere to live. Having lived in Abinger for so many years myself I thought the location was ideal and so wonderfully tucked away off the beaten track. The sheer amount of work needed was unbelievable and I set about transforming it to an impeccably high standard. I have literally done everything to it - stripped the floors, restored the sash windows, replaced the kitchen and bathroom and redecorated every room. I also had the walls and underneath the house insulated as well as Calor gas installed and a new boiler. I'm just finishing the gravelled driveway too.
