Property description
As bungalows go, this one will amaze you with the amount of space available. Whilst it looks like a well looked after, but generally run-of-the-mill 1930s built home, inside it has been transformed into a high-spec contemporary styled home that has been almost doubled in size.
Extensively adapted from the original layout, this property now has substantial living space. The majority of the floors have been laid with porcelain flooring and the extension area has been fitted with underfloor heating. The whole focus of the home has been pushed to the back of the property where the massive open plan kitchen/breakfast room now forms the heart of the home, but remains nice and bright due to the well thought-out sky light and sunshine to the rear.
The latest addition to this house is the luxurious bathroom.
For those who like to spend evenings entertaining outside, there is a lovely patio area complete with feature waterfall - an ideal retreat within which to peacefully unwind or celebrate in style.
After a visit to a grand design show, the current owners decided to adopt a shutter system to keep the light and heat out of their home when necessary. This negates the need for curtains and in combination with the marbled porcelain flooring, and the terraced patio area, it creates a wonderful 'villa-like' feel.
What the Owner says:
We were immediately drawn to this pretty little bungalow by the potential we saw to extend and refurbish it. We had been looking within this popular area as we liked the size of the plots and the general family feel of the neighbourhood. We were pleased to have found something we could make our own, and are extremely happy with what we have created. Everyone comments on how deceptive it is from the front, and are amazed at how light and bright the property feels.
We have found it to be a real haven of tranquillity and have enjoyed entertaining within our fabulous, sunny garden. We throw open the doors to the lounge and our guests can wonder out onto the patio with the waterfall backdrop that never fails to impress.
