Property description
Wow, this stunning 18th century semi-detached stone barn which in its former days used to be a working threshing barn has been sympathetically converted and now provides wonderful accommodation in a beautiful tranquil location over looking an abundance of countryside.
From your front door you can explore the stunning surroundings via country footpaths and bridle paths and enjoy the varied and wonderful wildlife all around.
Positioned just outside the historic village of Carisbrooke, you are only minutes away from local amenities like shops, restaurants and of course the famous Carisbrooke Castle.
The barn itself is set in a large plot with wonderful private gardens and a huge driveway at the front providing more than enough parking for all your friends and family.
The accommodation is very flexible and the large storage/reception on the side is ready and waiting to do whatever you want to it. The current owner in the past has rented out the property to friends and family for holidays and lived comfortably in the accommodation on the side.
This property really needs to be viewed to see for yourself just how wonderful it is and also the great potential it still has to create something even more amazing.
What the Owner says:
When I first came here I was struck straight away by its wonderful location. It feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, but its only a short drive away from Newport’s town centre and High Street shopping facilities.
I have loved living here and when I drive home after a long day and sit outside with my cup of tea, it still takes my breath away when looking out across the fields. It is a great way to relax after a long day at work and at the weekends, I enjoy pottering about in my garden. I have always loved quirky properties and this certainly is one of them. I am going to miss this place but i am looking at going back the mainland soon and I can see this being snapped up very quickly! I wish you all well.
