Property description
Smart and bright, this split level conversion is located on a quiet residential street lined with uniformed Victorian terraces. Bigger than your average flat, it has three double bedrooms, two bathrooms and a smart reception room and is nicely tucked away from the bustle of Clapham and Brixton centres but near enough for you to take advantage of all varied attractions. Clapham North tube station is a 5-7 minute walk or two minutes on the bus.
A tidy communal lobby leads you in through the flat’s ground floor entrance, where a flight of carpeted stairs leads you up to the first floor. First on your right is the kitchen, fitted with a healthy mix of wooden and stainless steel units. It has a pleasant view over neighbouring gardens and plenty of room for manovering. To the front is a huge reception room with space for a dining area too. There are lovely, dark stained timber floors underfoot which work well with the polar-white walls. Shelving is fitted to each side of the chimney breast and the front-facing bay window floods the room with light. Skip up to the half landing to find two double bedrooms. The rear facing bedroom has a wall of fitted wardrobes while the second, slightly smaller double, has lovely casement windows and plenty of shelving options. A final climb to the second floor and you’re in the master bedroom with en suite bathroom. There are two Velux windows up here and the eaves storage will come in handy!
With a location like this you'll never venture far from home. Brixton, Clapham and Abbeville Village are all an easy perambulation. The 137 is close by and will whisk you to Sloane Square and Knightsbridge. In addition to the unbeatable Victoria Line in Brixton Clapham North tube is about 10 minute walk for the Northern Line. Brixton's all a buzz with the recently redeveloped Windrush Square offering a marvellous place to sit, chat and drink coffee. This is before we mention the ocean of funky bars, cafes and restaurants on offer. The covered market is awash with world class global cuisine. The Ritzy cinema will keep any audience happy with its thoughtful mix of art house and mainstream titles and 'The White Horse' really rocks out on the weekend. Their chicken, bacon and Camembert burger is a thing of great beauty. Clapham and the ever popular Abbeville Village are but a 10 minute stroll in the other direction. It'll take you the first three years to sample all their cuisine (Carmen tapas is our fave!) and you can walk it off on Clapham Common. Khamsa is within a few seconds for some fab Algerian cooking - it's getting great reviews. Clapham High Street will keep you busy whatever the weather.
