We had been looking at flats for a while and we stumbled across this development of starter homes. I was really pleased with the fact that we could afford a freehold house and not have to pay monthly service charge and ground rents, which could run into thousands of pounds over the years. Since we have been here we have decorated the house and we have got to know most of our neighbours over the years, which I think is important. The garage is certainly been handy for storage, but you could park your car there, although the road is fairly quiet and it's easy to find a spot. You can walk to the station in fifteen minutes and there are some fantastic restaurants at the Broadway if you want a meal out at the weekend.
