Property description
If you are searching for a house that is full of character, positioned in a sought after area and that you can move straight into, this is definitely the house for you.
The current owner purchased this house in 2004 and within the last 5 years has embarked on an in depth re-furbishment of the home. This includes a full re-wire, new Combi-boiler and contemporary radiators, re-fitted modern kitchen with stone surfaces. In conjunction with the electrical work was the installation of a hard wired fire alarm system and cabling for the provision of mains power into the loft - perfect for any future loft conversion, subject to the usual planning permission.
Off the master bedroom is an en-suite bathroom with underfloor heating and the downstairs cloakroom with large shower cubicle finished in stone effect tile-work. In our opinion, the standard of finish means your hard earned money won't need to be spent on any DIY here.
The rear garden is finished in a neat, low maintenance fashion but the substantial outside space would be equally sure to please a keen gardener. The stonework path leads to a matching patio - perfect for entertaining.
With hard-standing at the front to provide the potential for a drive but requiring a dropped kerb (subject to relevant planning permission).
Local amenities include doctors surgery, post office, bank and supermarket. Also with bus route and Kingsferry commuter coach stop and good access to M2/M20 motorways to London and coast.
What the Owner says:
When we first came to view the house, we were surprised at how large it was inside. It provided a much larger living space than other properties we'd been to see. We love this fact now and find first time visitors to our home often share our surprise.
On completion of the renovation, we loved the initial 'wow' factor, and in fact still get it when we return from holidays.
We're always having people around, as out of our friends, we have one of the larger gardens. It's perfect in summer for having barbecues with plenty of space for the children to play. In winter we love to admire the view across Walderslade Valley with its beautiful scenery. In the colder months, the lounge/diner provides more than enough space for our dinner parties.
