Property description
It is said that an Englishman’s home is his castle. While this particular home is not up to regal standards, it’s not hard to see how you could make it into a home to be immensely proud of.
Having been in the same ownership for more than 50 years, a lot of it remains untouched so much of the original character remains. Over the years windows have been replaced and the roof has been well maintained so it should be mostly cosmetic work along with a new kitchen and bathroom and then imagine the majestic home you’ll be left with!
Separate lounge and dining rooms give that homely feel that some open plan layouts lack. Curl up in front of the fireplace in the lounge or if you like to entertain then the dining room is perfectly placed just off the kitchen.
The real wow factor here though has to be the rear garden. Much less steep than most in the area it is ideal for relaxing in or getting your green fingers working. There are plenty of areas to sit in and enjoy the sun and if the entertaining gets ambitious then there’s plenty of room for your guests too.
So get your paint brush and create a home for yourself that your friends will envy!
Please refer to the footnote regarding the services and appliances. What the Owner says:
My parents bought the house in 1959 and have always loved the area especially. My dad always tell me how it has been a convenient place to live. He has always found the bus service to be so handy and in the early days the local school was convenient as I was growing up.
Not much has changed in fact. There’s still a reliable bus service along with an easy commute to London and there are still some great schools nearby too.
The house itself has been ideal both as a family home and for my parents as they got older too. Both bedrooms are adequate size doubles and the bathroom is bigger than some bedrooms!
