Property description

Location, location, location, you could not ask for more. This really is your perfect English village complete with a wonderful green which is surrounded by a mixture of imposing manor houses, Georgian and Victorian homes and not forgetting the chocolate box cottages you cannot fail to be impressed. You also have the local store, butchers, post office, two garages, two public houses, and the school all of this is within walking distance. Woodchurch is surrounded by breathtaking countryside if you are the type of person who enjoys a good walk then there is no shortage of paths and trails to explore.

This wonderful grade II listed cottage is situated in the heart of this much sought after village and is set back from the road with a white picket fence, this really is a pretty cottage. It has country cottage gardens stocked full of plants, shrubs and mature trees and at this time of year in a bloom of colour. You also have a small pond and stepping stones leading to the front door and to the rear you have a good sized shed and plenty of space for you table and chairs. Inside the rustic charm continues with a cosy kitchen/diner the perfect place to prepare your culinary delights with beautiful view across the garden. The lounge has exposed timbers overhead and a fantastic inglenook fire place with a multi fuel stove; it also has a sash window overlooking the front garden and the church beyond.

What the Owner says:

We bought this cottage because we always wanted to live in Woodchurch it’s just a great village. It’s got a really great sense of community. The local pub is great we love sitting in the beer garden in the summer months.
If you have a dog there are so many walks to explore all on your door step that you can access as soon as you leave the house, there are views from the garden at night, to the rear you have the wind mill and to the front you have the church.
When we bought the cottage it needed so much work. We have painted from top to bottom, serviced, cleaned the stove in the lounge, put in new carpets, added new sink & kitchen work surface. We have spent a lot of time in the garden making it what you see today.
