Property description
This charming semi-detached house is located within a sought after residential road in the popular village of Bramley with glorious countryside on the doorstep.
The house is believed to have been built around 1910 and therefore has the character which you would hope for in a home of that period. The rooms are all generously proportioned with a lovely light and airy feel to them. The kitchen/breakfast room has French doors opening onto the garden - a particularly welcome feature, especially during the summer when you can open them up and move freely between indoors and the outside.
Upstairs, the large bathroom has been totally refurbished and now boasts a double-ended bath together with a separate corner shower cubicle. You now have the option of an invigorating shower in the morning or a long hot soak at the end of the day!
Outside, the current owner has had the kerb dropped to create off road parking in front of the house, whilst to the rear is a beautiful garden which catches the sun throughout most of the day.
Bramley offers a good range of local shops together with a couple of country pubs. There is also a state junior school and a highly regarded private girls school in the village. For a more extensive range of shops and amenities, Guildford is within 4 miles and also has mainline rail links to London and the coast.
What the Owner says:
When I first viewed the house over 22 years ago, I was attracted by its character - so much more appealing than a lot of more modern homes. Over the years, I have made several improvements including the wiring, double glazing, the bathroom and the creation of off-road parking which I'm sure will be appreciated by the new owners.
One of the things I love about my home is that I can relax on my sofa and enjoy the wonderful view over my garden which is framed by the wide French doors. In the summer, I can take myself off to the bottom of the garden which acts as a perfect hideaway, just like my very own secret garden!
