Property description

This is a two bedroom ground floor apartment which was built Circa 1908. The property is directly opposite the Green itself which accommodates the second oldest cricket club in the world. For those who like the sound of leather on willow you can be watching the match as the club play throughout in the warmer months. Commuters can access Woodford Central line station with ease and the Broadway offers a vast selection of coffee shops, bars, a local supermarket to tend for your everyday need. The High Road (even closer) has restaurants from Italian to Turkish and if you visit the Bel sit Italian Pizzeria you may find yourself sitting on a table near Lord Alan Sugar! The communal hall has a grand entrance and the apartment feels spacious and bright due to the high ceilings and large windows that let in lots of natural sun light. The kitchen/breakfast room is a sunny room and the perfect place to start the day whilst the lounge is peaceful and quiet and an inviting place to relax in the evenings. The property comes with a large store room which is separate to the flat but is accessed from the communal hallway, and this could be the perfect place for an office as it overlooks the garden to the rear. The garden is low maintenance so you can enjoy all the benefit of outside space without having any stress to maintain it. Beyond your private garden there is a large lawned area which is communal, so if you have children either in residence or visiting, there is plenty of space for them to run and play.

What the Owner says:

The whole building in which this flat resides was originally owned by a family and then was passed on to be sectioned off and provide housing for many families. During the second world war Sir Winston Churchill apparently used to visit the property to view the bomb damage across the City from the Tower at the top. Since we have been here we put a lot of time and effort to restoring the property to its classical condition, adding some modern fittings to accommodate our needs. The four piece bathroom suite and the kitchen in particular have been refurbished in recent years, but I love the feeling that this flat gives from the minute you walk down the carriage driveway to feeling the warmth of the sun as I sit on the rear decking with a glass of wine.
