Gardens | x . The grounds are a special feature of Trewince House and set within 3 acres. The terraces and Japanese garden have been lovingly restored over the last 20 years and are truly inspiring. The front of the property overlooks the gently sloping site. As you walk down from the upper terrace and across the lawns, the Japanese garden comes into view with its zig-zag walkway across the dry ocean. A variety of mature plants and shrubs are set among rocky islands, stepping stones and a mound which represents Mount Fuji. There are paths leading to the secluded lower terraces and a wild woodland walk.

Agents Note | x . Trewince House is an Edwardian mansion comprising six apartments which were converted in the 1980s. In the post-war years the property was run as a small hotel but much of the landscaping and work that went into creating the gardens was carried out during the 1930s. The Japanese garden and the lower terraces were largely forgotten until the late 1990s when the residents took it upon themselves to restore them to their former glory. The gardens really have to be seen to be appreciated. The Trewince House Management group, run by the joint freeholders, ensures that the house and grounds are maintained to a high standard with a regular gardener employed. There are no restrictions at this property it would either make a great permanent home or potentially a wonderful holiday let.
