Property description
A beautifully refurbished and tastefully modernised Yachtsmans retreat located in the very heart of the Conservation Area associated with the old Town Quay. The property has an interesting provenance. Originally one of a pair of neighbouring cottages, the two were combined for many years, though within the last year they have been reconfigured to their original format. Built of whitened colour washed brick with new small pane painted traditional casements, the cottage offers accommodation arranged over three floors. Opening off the cobbled lane is a sitting/dining/kitchen room. Overhead at first floor level the main bedroom has doors opening to a riverside balcony that offers views out over the harbour. Again at first floor is a modern shower room and stairs rising to a further guest bedroom on the second floor. Adjacent to the cottage is a useful bicycle/sail store suitable for storage and/or a small tender. The property offers potential as a holiday letting with the possibility to sleep 4 people. Parking is available with a Parking Permit on the Quay.
