Property description
Properties of this ilk very rarely come onto the market and they definitely do not become available in such good condition. Approaching the front of the property it has stunning kerb appeal in a conservation area that really catches the eye.
The garden is ideal for summer barbecues and enjoys a good degree of privacy which is incredibly rare for town living, basking in sunlight all day and you can enjoy the ever changing scene of the River Arun & the wildlife it brings .
The accommodation is laid over three floors and is surprisingly roomy for a cottage of this period. The kitchen which has been refitted spans the width of the cottage, a great size and is perfect if you enjoy entertaining. This theme is carried through to the extended living area which comfortably houses a 6 seated dining room table. With the log burner alight you can sit back and enjoy a good book, glass of wine in hand soaking up the warmth that emulates throughout, it’s a very cosy space.
On the first and second floors there are two great size double bedrooms both with outstanding views over the river. The stunning bathroom has also been replaced but in a style sympathetic to the period with a luxurious roll top bath and separate shower cubical.
Arundel is a town of culture with the Cathedral, Castle, numerous art & antique shops, tea rooms and a superb range of restaurants, wine bars and pubs.
What the Owner says:
The location is fantastic and was a real appeal when we first set out looking at properties in Arundel, we wanted the central position but away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town. We make the most of a very short walk into the shops and great restaurants and rarely call upon the car.
We can walk to the railway station and easily access London & Gatwick airport.
Over the last few years we have completely transformed the property and not just cosmetically. The wood burning stove is one of our favourite additions, we look forward to using it in the winter.
