Property description

An absolutely stunning 3 reception roomed, 2 bedroomed detached bungalow set amidst the most beautifully manicured gardens on a level plot with off road parking and garage.

In more detail ...
This wonderful detached bungalow was built in 1975 and the current owners have lived here happily for 22 years. The vendors have lovingly refurbished and enhanced this property to an excellent standard giving it a feeling of luxury and comfort throughout. The bungalow is approached via a bonded resin drive to the double glazed front door of the porch. A further door leads into a welcoming light filled hallway with sumptuous carpets underfoot. The lounge overlooks the immaculately manicured rear sunny garden via a double glazed window. The room is given a focal point by an Adams style fireplace which is inset with a gas flame effect fire. An arch leads into the adjoining dining room which has a serving hatch to the kitchen. Double oak framed glazed doors leads into a stunning double glazed conservatory which has an electric opening roof light window. This is a really lovely additional reception room where you can relax and enjoy peaceful garden views. French doors lead out to the rear garden. The kitchen is fitted with an excellent range of wall and base units with gloss door fronts and there is a complementary granite worktop inset with two sink units with a shower mixer tap over. Integrated appliances include a 4 ring gas hob with air filter above, a fan assisted and 2nd electric eye level ovens, a dishwasher, washing machine and tall fridge/freezer. The walls and floor are tiled and the glow worm gas boiler is concealed within a cupboard (this was fitted in 2010 and has been serviced annually). The bathroom is spacious and has a modern suite consisting of a panelled bath, pedestal wash hand basin and close coupled wc and there is a separate shower cubicle with a Mira electric shower. A cupboard houses a lagged tank and there is useful slatted shelving for linen storage.

What the owner likes ...
We have loved living here for the past 22 years and in the past few years have refurbished many aspects of our home which have included a new kitchen and granite worktops, double glazed windows, oak internal doors, and carpets. We spend a huge amount of time in the conservatory as we love the views of the rear garden. We have invested a lot of time and effort in making the front and rear garden spaces which are full of planting but also easily maintained and the result is that we have had endless hours of relaxation and pleasure.

Bear in mind ...
In addition there are two large double bedrooms and these and all the principal rooms are fitted with sumptuous carpets. The porch and conservatory have Italian tiled flooring. The front garden is laid mainly to gravel for ease of maintenance but features 2 ornamental weeping cherry trees and other specimen shrubs. The resin bonded drive provides plenty of off road parking leading to the garage which has an up and over door, light and power. The rear garden can be accessed via both sides of the property via resin bonded pavements and wooden gates. The wonderful rear garden is an absolute joy to behold. It is secluded and enjoys the sun all day and evening. There are 2 patio areas and 2 lawned areas. Three brick built raised beds are packed with a colourful array of planting and there is a lovely stone water feature. Whitton & Laing state this is a very special home which is superbly presented and they highly commend an early viewing.
