A serpentine road leads from the hamlet through a scattering of cottages until you get to the highest which is Woodside. A gated gravelled drive way leads to the front of the cottage where you have parking for several vehicles you are then surrounded by a fantastic array of plants shrubs and mature trees. A stepped foot path leads to the front door. A large area laid to lawn to the side of the property gives spectacular views over the National Park.

There are areas which attract a variety of wildlife. A large wooden shed with secure fencing originally used as a hen coop provides extra storage for bikes, coal and logs etc.
