Property description
Picture yourself driving home after a hard day at work, with the feeling of leaving all the stresses and strains behind you, as you cross over the sparkling stream. Turn through the double gates into the peaceful courtyard setting of your home, enclosed with pretty ragstone walling.
It really is like being in your own little world here; the owner says it’s very relaxing listening to the stream with the window open at night. The back garden is lovely and secluded with a patio where there is a purpose built barbecue house; a great place to sit and relax and enjoy the company of friends and just let the world pass by. The long garden at the front is just as nice with a high flanking wall adding welcome seclusion; pop out through the stable style front door and sit in the morning sun at breakfast time.
You will be buying into a piece of history here with this truly unique barn conversion which the owners understand was originally the barn to Clare House and may date back to the mid eighteenth century.
There is no need to worry about parking, you have space for three cars here; perfect for when you have visitors. Although tucked away you can easily get to all you need, commuting, shopping or eating out.
What the Owner says:
My forever home, is how I felt about my Grade II listed barn and had no intention of ever moving! I have extended the property with an oak framed dining area, which adds another dimension to my home and gives you a lovely view of the garden.
I simply love the original gorgeous beams that are the theme throughout my home, every one of them I think could tell a story. Even though I have been here for over 12 years, I never tire of looking over the beams and often notice quirky things I hadn’t before.
I would summarise my feelings of living here, as it’s like being on holiday except you never have to leave.
