Property description

Fantastic high ceilings, large Georgian style windows, park like gardens and beautifully presented throughout, this really is something very special. You just notice the quality and grandeur of the home from the moment you pull up to the drive and walk in to the pillared reception hallway complete with chandeliers.

Wow features of the apartment include the kitchen with ambient lighting. The kitchen is a great place to create, with plenty of work surfaces to spread yourself over. An Induction hob and double oven, so you can roast, grill & pan fry all at the same time and there are more cupboards and drawers than most homes I see, great news once you have created the mess, chuck it in the dishwasher and forget about it!

It is probably in the living room that you really notice the true height of the ceilings and with the elegant sash windows, the light just comes pouring in.

The bathroom and en suite add a twist of the contemporary, with mood lighting, clean white lines and tiling, they have a real quality finish. Both have been refitted recently so you can really look forward to some luxury, self indulgent bath times.

If you are interested in the history of this grand former Royal West Sussex Hospital, then please feel free to look at www.forbes-place.co.uk, it really makes an interesting read.

What the Owner says:

I have now owned my apartment for over 16 years and it has been a fantastic place to live. I love the views over the gardens and that I am upper ground floor, so I have the security and light of being elevated, but also having excellent, flat, additional access from the rear.

I love the look of the building and the famous wisteria is reported to have been planted as a tiny shrub in the 1830's.

What was important to me also, was parking and a garage and I am one of the very few to have a garage. The gardens are just delightful and I am just a short stroll from the centre of Chichester and Festival Theatre.
