Location
Nantyderry is a popular hamlet between Abergavenny and Usk in the Lower Usk Valley. In the village is a pub/restaurant within a minute or so walk from the cottage. Abergavenny is an historic town located on the banks of the River Usk and known as 'the Gateway to the Brecon Beacons National Park'. The town is nestled between the Blorenge, Sugar Loaf and Skirrid Mountains and within a mile of the town offers recreational walks through the beautiful countryside and along the Brecon and Monmouth Canal. The smaller, pretty town of Usk is bordered by the River Usk. Both towns offer a range of amenities including doctors, dentist, restaurant and public houses and, places of worship. Both towns are ideally placed for transport links with access to the A465, A40, A4042 and A449. These 'A' roads link to the M4/M5 and M50 motorway networks. A main line railway station and bus station can be found in Abergavenny.
