Travel: car is essential as public transport from the village is very limited, though once in Newmarket which is 5 miles (10 minute drive) there are many bus/train options. Bury St Edmunds is 12 miles (20 minutes). Cambridge 15 miles (30 minutes) has frequent direct trains etc to London/UK wide.

Stansted airport only 45/50 minutes drive.

Shopping/eating out/in: Newmarket, Bury and Cambridge provide a wide variety of options, along with a next village shop, and the usual on line shopping/meal for delivery ordering choices.

Health/leisure/culture etc: Newmarket has a comprehensive new leisure centre and a small museum, Bury has one of each too, Cambridge has masses. There are many \‘places of interest\‘ in the surrounding area.

Neighbours: The cottage is the semi on the end of landlords own property.
