I bought this home seven years ago and it was basically a shell, but I could see so much potential in it and fell in love with the sea views. Since living here I have carefully refurbished my home to make it a place where you can really unwind.

The bespoke kitchen has all integrated appliances so the new owner will be able to just move straight in. I also had extra insulation in the ceiling so I don't hear a peep from my neighbours. I wanted to design this apartment so that the main focus was the sea views which are from all the rooms apart from the bathroom, but with a Jacuzzi bath, who needs a sea view.

I spend a lot of time on the balcony, where I can waste hours just staring out to sea. The location is perfect, I can walk past the monthly Farmers Market to the trendy old town, I often pop to the cafe opposite for breakfast and in the other direction I can walk to Broadstairs.

The only reason I am moving is to be closer to my grandchildren, but I will truly miss this special home.
