Property description
If character and charm are something you simply must have, then this 17th Century Grade II listed 3 bedroom cottage is a must to see. You will certainly feel like you have stepped back in time as you admire all the character features here. The front room would make a perfect and impressive dining room although could be used as a lounge, especially if you have the inglenook style fireplace roaring away for your guests. Blending superbly into this character are some lovely modern features too. The kitchen, although feels very country cottage, is modern and the bathroom and shower room have all been done, so move in and start enjoying straight away.
If you work from home or would like somewhere for the children to call their own, then there is a study/playroom. The clever extension to the side of this home means that if having friends or family to stay over, they have their own suite and privacy to enjoy. If not, then you benefit from having more room to expand and grow into.
The gardens are a joy and although quiet, the views of the Tonbridge Boys School spire will be a reminder of how close to the High Street you are. If commuting, then under 1/2 mile walk to the station will be a breeze every morning. So, if wanting that something different and characterful, this certainly should feature on your to view list.
Please refer to the footnote regarding the services and appliances. What the Owner says:
From the moment I walked into the house it just felt right.
Although I have done so much here, with extensions and new boilers, etc., my favourite thing is still the old fireplace. I have had so many wonderful evenings entertaining family and friends with a roaring fire going.
I worked in London for many years and getting to the station is so easy. I was able to leave the house, walk to the town and be standing on the platform in around 10 minutes.
