Property description
EXTREMELY WELL PRESENTED house with GARAGE, KITCHEN BREAKFAST ROOM and master en suite.
Owners Comments
The house is situated in the small community of Pymore which lies within walking distance of the historic market town of Bridport. Pymore was for centuries a rope making centre and still retains many features from that time. This beautifully presented property occupies the site of one of the original ropemakers cottages and has a double pitched roof and a brick and tile porch. New windows and front door have very recently been installed. A great feature of the property is the garage/ workshopThe wide entrance hall and landings add a feeling of space. The kitchen, which was re-fitted in 2012, features beech work surfaces with a Neff hob and twin ovens. The dual fuel Stovax 5 stove in the lounge adds a lovely cosy feeling to the room in the winter and the attached small conservatory, built on stone walls with a tiled floor, is enjoyed both in winter and summer. The conservatory was added during the summer of 2011. The rear garden is landscaped with well stocked raided beds and paved seating areas. Upstairs the bedroom at the front of the house, on the first floor, is currently used as a study and additional sitting room. It is an especially light and airy room and overlooks trees and the open countryside. The village grounds are very well maintained and provide immediately available open spaces. From the village you can access a range of footpaths into the countryside and there is a good path leading into the centre of Bridport making it a very manageable walk. Bridport itself is a vibrant friendly town, well known for its twice weekly markets, the antiques quarter, wide range of eating places and food shops. The town has a vibrant cultural life with an arts centre along with other entertainment venues. The sports centre is popular and there are a variety of other sporting facilities. Just to the south, the harbour at West Bay is a fascinating, if idiosyncratic place; a good point to join the South West Coast Path and from which to explore the Jurassic Coast.
