Property description

4 bedroomed link detached barn conversion with a large garden, situated in a rural location on the River Taw.

Situated in a peaceful rural hamlet within the parish of Sampford Courtenay, Peckettsford Barn is a very well presented link-detached barn conversion with spacious light and well designed accommodation. The property was converted in approximately 1990 and has recently undergone some cosmetic improvements by the current owners.

The accommodation is flexible with the ability to use as one floor, with two bedrooms and a bathroom to the ground floor, or as a more traditional set-up utilising the two bedrooms on the first floor (one of which with en-suite facilities). Throughout are exposed timbers and some A frames are revealed adding to the light nature of the barn. The sitting room has an attractive fireplace and a large multi-fuel burner as well as plenty of exposed timber. The property benefits from oil-fired central heating and double glazing.

To the front of the property is an attractive enclosed gravelled driveway/courtyard garden providing a pleasant parking or seating area which can be gated off from the country lane. Across the lane is the large, level and private enclosed riverside garden predominately laid to lawn with natural hedging and a variety of shrubs, plants and trees and borders the pretty River Taw.

DIRECTIONS From the centre of Crediton, proceed in a Westerly direction through the villages of Copplestone and Bow. Staying on the A3072, proceed past De Bathe Cross and pass the old mill on the left hand side. Stay on this road (turns into the B3215) and immediately after crossing under the railway bridge, turn left as signed to Taw Green and South Tawton. Proceed for approximately half a mile where the property will be found on the right hand side, just before the attractive stone built hump back bridge.
