A strong community spirit prevails with tennis, cricket and bowls clubs and the Parish Council and Odiham Society take a keen interest in maintaining all that is good about Odiham. The town has a doctor's surgery, opticians and dentists, together with a Post Office, two high street banks, hairdressers, general food store, The George Hotel, selection of public houses and restaurants. There are schools for all age groups within the village.

All Saints Church sits in The Bury, the historic centre of the town. The name Odiham comes from Anglo Saxon Wudiham or settlement on the edge of wooded land, with the surrounding landscape offering some splendid walking and views out across open rolling chalk countryside.

The Basingstoke Canal runs through the northern edge of the village with towpath walks. The larger local towns of Farnham and Basingstoke provide a wider range of shopping, recreational and leisure facilities.

The M3 (Junc. 5) is within easy reach providing fast access to the national motorway network as well as Heathrow, Gatwick and Southampton Airports. Mainline railway stations can be found in nearby Hook & Winchfield, both serve London Waterloo in about an hour.
