Property description
'Simply stunning' is the only way to describe the panoramic views that this property offers. Located on the outskirts of the popular village of Barcombe, lies this substantial family home.
It offers flexible accommodation, you immediately feel a sense of space and light. With it's choice of reception rooms, entertaining the extended family or friends will be a breeze. Cook up a storm in the kitchen, gather everyone around the table in the evening to catch up on the day's events. With the separate utility area, all of the noisy appliances can be shut away and you can relax in the evening without being disturbed. All of the bedrooms upstairs enjoy countryside views, there are plenty of rooms for children to grow into or guests to stay. The downstairs study/bedroom 6 and downstairs bathroom also lend themselves to guests or they could be helpful to accommodate a dependant relative. With 3.399 acres of gardens and paddocks surrounding the house, there's even space for horses with detached loose box stables and tack room. The formal gardens are a fantastic addition and compliment the house well.
Barcombe village itself has a vibrant community offering a highly regarded primary school, post office and village store, a fantastic local pub and many social and sports clubs. It is close to the historic county town of Lewes which has a mainline train station offering direct links to London and Brighton.
What the Owner says:
Having moved from the South coast into the village over 30 years ago, it was the opportunity to raise our family in a safe and secure environment that really appealed. We have made changes to the property to adapt it to our family's needs and have fond memories of watching our daughters enjoy the outdoor lifestyle with the horses. All our children have attended the local school and this has been a fantastic platform for them to develop and become independent.
It will be a shame to leave the house, but we now need to downsize and would like to give someone else the opportunity to make this house their home and love it as much as we have.
