“The house was originally built in 1984 by a well known local builder. When I first saw the property 12 years ago, I knew this was where I wanted to live. I love the quiet atmosphere and yet I can walk into Canterbury in about 20 minutes around the beautiful orchards, which are a delight when in blossom.
It is great to live in the countryside but be so close to the city. Canterbury is a wonderful city with its mix of historic buildings including the oldest cathedral in the country, Canterbury castle and St Augustine’s Abbey. It is also a vibrant modern city with a plethora of fine restaurants, hotels and a wide variety of independent shops and high street stores, two universities, further education colleges, a range of excellent private and public schools as well as two hospitals. You can also enjoy a visit to the two theatres where you can see a number of excellent international productions and artists. As well as being close to the city centre the house is also very convenient if you want to go further afield, with Canterbury West station taking you to London in less than an hour and a short drive along the Old Dover Road takes you to the A2 for London or to Dover for trips to the Continent.”
