Tucked off The Old Village, a leafy lane leads over Foss Bridge to the 15th century church in a pretty corner of countryside sandwiched between Huntington and New Earswick. The path joins the celebrated Foss Way that starts in the heart of the city and ends near Crayke. The opportunities for walking, exercising dogs and running are many. In Huntington itself there are numerous local shops and services. Close by lies Monks Cross and the Vangarde Centre with John Lewis the flagship store. The primary school is across the road and the highly regarded Huntington School – one of the best state schools in York – is within a short stroll. The Lodge lies at the right side of York for access to the private schools and to the hospital. Just to the north lies the ring road giving access to all major routes north and south of York.
