In Huntington itself there are numerous local shops and services.  Close by lies Monks Cross and the Vangarde Centre with John Lewis the flagship store. The primary school is across the road and the highly regarded Huntington School – one of the best state schools in York – is within a short stroll. The Lodge lies at the right side of York for access to the private schools and to the hospital. Just to the north lies the ring road giving access to all major routes north and south of York.
