Property description
Not judging a book by a cover is a common cliché often used with properties, but I can genuinely say with true conviction that it is so true when referring to this stunning family home. Built around 2001, the home was already a good size with plenty of living space downstairs, plus a double garage and nice gardens. At a later point the previous owners decided to extend the ground floor, open out the dining room/family area and kitchen/breakfast area to create something really quite special.
There is still plenty of room throughout the rest of the home and all the usual qualities are there, but undeniably, the extension adds a real element of WOW! The vaulted ceiling extends to over 15' in height and velux windows let the light stream in through the roof and a pair of bi-fold doors open out to the garden. A living flame gas fire sits on the wall and creates a focal point as well as providing heat. Budding chefs will be drawn to the kitchen/breakfast area, obviously because of the stunning vaulted ceiling but there’s also huge amounts of work surface space and cupboards just waiting to be utilised. It’s easy to picture evenings spent cooking for friends whilst they admire your culinary skills.
The summer months could see you spilling out into the garden. High hedges offer privacy from the neighbours and the sound of a gentle breeze through the trees is only accompanied by the steady trickle of water from the pond.
What the Owner says:
The first thing that struck me with this home was how bright and airy it is. My jaw almost hit the ground when I walked into the kitchen as it was so unexpected and was completely different to anything else that we’d come across.
As it’s at the end of the Close it’s really quiet, it often feels like we’re somewhere in the country.
We have fully decorated and re-carpeted the upstairs of the property and much of the downstairs, so our home is in great shape and has been really low maintenance. We can genuinely say that we will certainly miss the whole house and have many happy memories.
