Property description
It would be easy to pass through the village of Westwell and barely even notice that you've passed it. Nestled in the shadow of the North Downs, the village is a few miles north of Ashford and Junction 9 of the M20 is not more than a 10 minute drive away, with the town centre and station not much further. This selection of homes were converted from farm buildings around 25 years ago. The character of the outside is matched by the contemporary feel of the inside and the home offers plenty of amazing space internally as well.
The open plan living area is practical as well as stylish, with maple floors throughout and a modern log burner providing plenty of warmth as well as a focal point. The middle floor hosts two large rooms of almost equal size. One of the rooms is currently used as a gym and is separated from the other by double doors, but they make perfect bedrooms. All the bathrooms have Villeroy Boch suites and there is Italian tumbled marble tiling to one of the en-suites. You could be forgiven for thinking that the top floor might be a little smaller than the other two floors below, but it's surprisingly big on account of the extra room over the drive.
The inside is complemented by generous gardens outside that wrap around the barn and offer space as well as a certain amount of privacy. There's an additional garden away from the barn which could be used for growing vegetables, or just an extra space to enjoy.
What the Owner says:
I love the village of Westwell. I've lived locally for years and was familiar with the area. When the barn became available I fell in love with it and the surroundings. It is so quiet but only a short drive from the neighbouring village of Charing with its range of shops, doctors and mainline station and there is plenty to do for both children and adults.
All the rooms are a good size and the inside was well decorated and presented.
The pub up the road is fantastic and does some wonderful food and there are also some good dog walks nearby.
