Property description
A property which is without a doubt a little out of the ordinary and personifies the word ‘Unique’. Built in 1789 the property has a wonderful period feel to it and rooms in the house are sectioned off into pockets which gives you great option for where to spend your time.
The refitted kitchen is in fantastic condition with a lovely breakfast area.
Bedroom one has an attractive looking Italian staircase which leads up to a dressing area, which really makes this a fantastic room in which to lay your head.
The Current owners have done a lot of work to the property including digging out the front and rear of the property to create access to the self-contained basement from the front of the building where they have put an electric door which is sure to be handy for all those more security conscious buyers. And also gives access to the small rear courtyard.
This is the sort of property that rarely finds its way onto the open market so be sure not to miss out and book a viewing today.
What the Owner says:
We have lived here 23years in this unusual and interesting house which has served us well. To the north a ten minute walk to Portsmouth centre or south to the shore, across the magnificent Southsea Common.
With much thought and affection we have carefully enhanced the place without compromising space. The shape of the roof is described by the top ceilings and the garden is an ardent attempt to reflect the interesting floor shapes within. The morning sun floods the front elevation, then after noon fills the garden, which is why there is a large sun blind over the veranda, very peaceful. We benefit from an extended view across many gardens to the Spinnaker Tower. I am very sad to leave here but now it is simply too large for me.
