(Distances approximate) Green Hammerton, in the Harrogate District of North Yorkshire, lies west of York and mid-way between York and Harrogate, convenient for the shops and schools in both those major centres and a short distance too from Queen Ethelburga’s. There is a daily bus service to both town and city. This bustling and thriving village enjoys a strong community spirit and excellent amenities, including a pub, primary school which Ofsted has rated outstanding, two churches, post office, a doctor’s surgery, a village hall with children’s playground , cricket club and sports field. The railway stations of Kirk Hammerton and Cattal are a few minutes’ drive away and provide regular services to Leeds and York.
