LOCATION Walcott is a small village on the North Norfolk coast between Mundesley and Happisburgh. The village is approx. 19 miles north east of Norwich, 12 miles south east of Cromer and approx. 5.6 miles east of the town of North Walsham.



The village is the only point where the B1159 (the coast road) actually runs along the edge of the sea making it a popular stop off point for tourists.



Walcott has a parish church, 2 shops (one with a sub post office), several restaurants and pubs, and an infant school.



There is access to the beach via Walcott Gap, a wooden slipway that runs from the road to the sand, this can accommodate the launching of small craft including local fishing boats.

There are also steps set at several points along the sea front.



The nearest train station is at North Walsham for the Bittern line that runs between Cromer and Norwich.

The nearest airport in Norwich International.



Walcott is also right on the Norfolk Coast Path. The trail goes from Bacton, Walcott and then onto the cliffs towards Happisburgh and the lighthouse.
