The village is semi-rural and well spread out with common land to the one side and the open fields of the Hogs Back on the other. Wanborough is a nearby station serving Guildford, and Reading and London Waterloo can be reached in 35 minutes via Brookwood. In addition there are good road connections via the A31, the nearby A3 and on to the M25 motorway network, and Heathrow and Gatwick international airports. The A322 provides good access to the M3 and M4 motorways.
