Property description
They say looks can be deceiving and never has a statement been more apparent than with this large, detached chalet bungalow.
Doubled in size by the current owners this home definitely has a show home feel and this is evident in every room.
A spacious lounge area spans the width of the house and is the perfect place for a cosy evening, especially if the wood burner is roaring. The flooring in here is smart too. The addition of a conservatory is a huge benefit and adds flexibility. On a sunny day is there a better place for breakfast, coffee or just a read of the newspaper bought from the local shop? Doors invite you out to the large patio area. Breakfast (and all other meals) will be prepared in the huge kitchen/breakfast room, which at 30ft alone is impressive, let alone the integrated appliances throughout. Filter taps are a classy touch and one of many. The room is illuminated in natural light courtesy of the many windows in here. Feet will be kept warm via the under floor heating.
A versatile dining area could easily be a play area and it's easy to keep an eye on smaller ones (or guests) too.
A beautifully appointed bathroom completes the ground floor billing.
Three bedrooms span the first floor as does the incredible amount of eaves storage which wraps around the bedrooms. On the subject of storage the master bedroom has a huge walk in wardrobe too.
A large rear garden with 18ft workshop: perfect for wood chopping for the wood burner!
What the Owner says:
We had friends who lived around the corner and work had brought us this way before, but it was by chance that we stumbled across this home!
It was a two bedroom bungalow at the time and required plenty of attention.
Since moving in we have extended the house to the rear, as well as adding the first floor and the extension. We have re-fitted both the bathroom and shower room, as well as the kitchen/breakfast room too.
We'll miss the wood burner and being able to chop our own wood. That said we are moving locally as we couldn't leave East Grinstead now.
