Property description

Sometimes there is a truly wonderful property which comes to the market, and this one really is something special. When you walk through the front door, it is like a step back in time, with ornate stained glass windows and stunning tiled flooring in the entrance hall.

With four bedrooms, this home could easily suit a family, and the fact that it has a lounge, formal dining room and a kitchen/diner, means you could even create a fifth bedroom if needed. Alternatively, with the fourth bedroom being a single, it could be used as a study or home office, so that busy parents can stay on top of work. This would also make a welcome home to retire to, with a main bathroom and a wet room, making life that little bit easier.

A sense of grandeur ozzes out of this bungalow, with ceiling roses, parquet flooring, cornices and moulded plaster archways.

The location is second to none, with the shops only a couple of minutes walk away, along with the main bus route, which will take you across Thanet and further afield. You have Margate Old Town and beach a short stroll away, and if you walk in the other direction, you have Botany Bay, then onto Broadstairs.

The garden is a good size with plenty of space for outdoor play if you have children, and if you are a keen gardener, then you will have lots of room to stretch those green fingers.

What the Owner says:

I have lived here for eleven years and when I first bought it, the bungalow was nothing like the home you see today. I was moving back from the States, looking across the UK, but it was the character this property had that drew me in.

Since being here, I have completely refurbished my home, along with a new boiler being installed about three years ago, and work finished at the end of 2015 on the wet room, which is a handy addition. The thing I love most about the property, is the amount of space it offers. The location is also great and I often walk down to the band stand, then make my way down to the seafront and along to the Turner Gallery.
