Property description

Chatham Road is a very good late Victorian terraced house. As soon as you walk through the front door, you get a good feel about it and you can imagine all the different families that have lived there over the 100+ years, a happy energy.

Chatham Road is situated just off Forest Road, a very short walk away from Blackhorse Road tube station and the Overground, so getting into the city is piece of cake!

You are surrounded by good schools, primary and secondary and if you have kids, you have a choice of playgrounds to take them to. The best and the largest is Lloyd Park, a very large park with a lake, playground, places to eat and acres of lawned area to use. The William Morris Gallery is situated on the park grounds, a museum dedicated to the 19th Century designer.

The house itself has a lot of charm. The front room, the parlour or the “BEST” room, is a very cosy space with high ceilings, a nice space to relax in after a long day. The dining room which opens up onto a kitchen extension is a great place for the family to get together in, more than enough space to wine and dine your guests and if you’re the cook, there is plenty of space where you can still talk to your guests while creating your culinary delights. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are good sized doubles, a smaller 3rd bedroom and downstairs bathroom.

What the Owner says:

We have been here for 32 years and have loved living here. We have brought our family up here and will be sad to leave. The house is very close to the tube station, in fact, I can walk there in about 5 minutes. It’s very easy to get into the city for work or for taking the kids into London for the museums. It has never felt cramped, as there are lots of rooms and very high ceilings. We would love to sell to a loving family who will continue to look after our home as we have.
