Property description
Location, location, location! These are three of the most important words for most buyers when they are looking at choosing a home. Situated within the sought after Windmill Hill area is this delightful three bedroom period house.
Now here is a property that really does offer you a mix of two worlds. On the one hand, this “gem on the hill” is set back from the main road, avoiding passing traffic and away from prying eyes, offering you peace and quiet with views over the rooftops across Gravesend. On the other hand, you have the hustle and bustle of the town centre within touching distance, not to mention the Gravesend train station. So no more long commutes to and from work, as you can take advantage of the high speed service to London whisking you into the heart of the City in just over twenty minutes. The town centre also offers an array of shops, bars and restaurants, so you can enjoy those more social outings on your doorstep and home is just a short stroll away.
The house itself is in immaculate condition throughout, so there is no work to be done here, just simply collect your belongings and move straight in. It has been designed very much with entertaining in mind, with an open plan layout on the ground floor. So when those summer months come back round, you can throw open the patio doors and extended those special occasions out onto the garden.
What the Owner says:
We bought this house as we loved the age and character of the property and it was so conveniently positioned for us. Neither of us drives a car, as we have not had the need to own a car whilst living here as everything really is within walking distance.
Over the years we have carried out a lot of work to the house, including the installation of a new kitchen and bathroom and fitted a new boiler just over 3 years ago. We have decorated the property and put our efforts into restoring the many original features within the house, which also involved restoring the bay window back to how it would have looked when it was initially built.
We are emigrating, and if we could pick our house up and take it with us we would as we have thoroughly loved living here.
