SITUATION
Glenahuil is located approx. 4.5 miles from the village of Kames near Tighnabruaich, just North of Ardlamont Point along a single track road, the last 0.5 miles being along a gravel farm track.
Tighnabruaich is one of the most beautiful villages in the West of Scotland, nestled in the Kyles of Bute which is the passage between the villages of Tighnabruaich and Kames on the mainland of Argyll, and the north end of the Isle of Bute in the Firth of Clyde. Tighnabruaich is a Gaelic name meaning \"the house on the hill\". Aptly named, as the steep hills rising above the shoreline have many \"houses on the hill\" which on a clear day command great views of Bute, Arran and the Ayrshire coast. Ideally situated for the outdoor enthusiast with activities such as golf, sailing, shinty, scuba diving, canoeing, cycling, angling and walking all available. The village enjoys a community spirit with fine restaurants, friendly pubs, a bank, an Art Gallery, a Spar shop and a Yacht Club.
