Property description
This unique two-storey home is nestled within a wooded area, with easy accessibility to the commuter links to Portsmouth.
The property was once thatched and has been reroofed with pan tiles, for ease of maintenance. On arrival, you are greeted with a circular drive which is a superb feature to the front of the home with its attractive, easily maintained borders and stone wall boundary to the front aspect.
Internally, the property greets you with a large entrance hall with circular feature windows which augment the pretty facade. The sizable lounge also overlooks its matured rear gardens, which extend the full width of the property and then continue behind its neighbour giving approximately the same width again in manicured gardens with the addition of a workshop. To one side of the home is large garage, with double gates to the opposite side giving potential storage space for boats or vehicular access to the rear.
From the lounge there is a large sunny conservatory which has been separated by the owners to give a formal dining room and additional sitting area, again overlooking the rear gardens.
There are three double bedrooms in total, with the master bedroom being cited on the first floor with ample storage and a modern en-suite facility. Both ground floor bedrooms benefit from the feature bow-bay windows on the ground floor allowing plenty of natural light.
The kitchen/breakfast room, although fully fitted, offers a wealth of cupboards and appliances. Furthermore, the property also boasts a utility room which leads out to its enclosed garden.
Should you be searching for a character home in a sought-after area, within easy access of the mainland and the beautiful beaches and countryside walks of the Isle of Wight, not to mention the nearby Golf Course and Ryde Private School, your search may have been concluded here at this property.
What the Owner says:
We moved to this home over twenty years ago. We fell for the property because it was unique, totally unusual and it is situated in a prestigious, peaceful and stunningly beautiful lane which is short distance from the beach and walking amenities.
We have made the home even more stunning by updating the roof and creating a garden which is designed for outdoor living with the ‘wow’ factor. In fact, one couldn’t ask to live in a better place.
Unfortunately, one of us in unable to drive and so, for that extra independence, we are moving more into the centre of town.
We have been privileged to have lived here and would have stayed until the end of our days, had it not been for our health.
