Property description

THE PROPERTY Situated on the very edge of Minchinhampton Common lies this stunning three/four bedroom Cotswold stone cottage. Believed to be around 200 years old, the semi-detached property maintains much character and boasts an exceptional outlook on to National Trust land at the front and lovely valley views towards Thrupp at the rear.

An entrance hall gains access to the sitting room and the studio. A large Cotswold stone fireplace with inset wood burning stove creates a beautiful focal point within the characterful sitting room. The studio was converted from the garage and could be used as a fourth bedroom.

The kitchen leads from the sitting room and boasts a range of wall & base units and attractive flag stone flooring. Built-in appliances include dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, oven & ceramic hob. The dining area is open to the kitchen and looks out on to the mature garden and views across the valley.

On the first floor are all three bedrooms, the family bathroom and shower room. Bedrooms one and two are both sizeable doubles and benefit from built in wardrobes. The third bedroom is a generous single. The shower room is located next to bedroom one, providing potential to create an en-suite master bedroom. The property benefits from double glazed windows & doors.

Outside, the property enjoys fantastic views to the front and rear. The mature rear garden allows glimpses of the valley towards Stroud and Thrupp, whilst to the front, Minchinhampton Common and the 12th fairway of the golf course are only a few steps away. There is off road parking, with additional space along the lane. A cellar can be accessed from the rear garden – an ideal storage space with light.
