Property description
Offered to the market for the first time in over two decades, you only need to look at this charming home to understand how it captured the heart of the current owner.
With period features and a stunning garden with amazing views, this is a fantastic opportunity to purchase a real country cottage in a sought after location, just minutes from Betchworth station. It's no wonder houses here simply don't come to the market very often and are always snapped up very quickly when they do. If you enjoy cosy evenings in front of a roaring open fire, the lounge will be right up your street and has plenty of space for relaxing on the sofa. The kitchen/breakfast room is a good size with space for a table and chairs, giving you the ideal place to have family or friends over for dinner and a catch up. The conservatory is the perfect place to escape to with a good book and cup of tea whilst looking out at the wildlife in the garden. Upstairs, there's room for guests to stay the night with ease thanks to the two decent bedrooms. With a little imagination, the bathroom can soon be transformed into that ideal place to escape to for that little bit of luxurious 'you time'. Outside is where this exceptional cottage comes into its own as the garden is truly remarkable. A superb size and with spectacular far reaching views, you may struggle to tear yourself away from here. Instead sit on the bench with a glass of wine, watching the sun go down. Heaven!

Words can't really express how happy Mum was living in The Coombe, she loved here. The garden was her haven and she used to spend many hours out there as it was where she loved escaping to. Her favourite place in the garden was at the top where the views are beautiful, the perfect place to relax on a Summer's evening. The cottage is cosy and welcoming and has been a much loved family home for many years.
There's also the huge (and rare) advantage of the separate driveway that goes with this house so no parking concerns either and plenty of room for visitors.
